Production wells located in Jibao- an, Pavia (1), San Jose, San Miguel (4), Caboloan Norte and Santa Monica, Oton (4) supply the water needs of the respective municipalities.
The open reinforced concrete ground reservoir in Talanghauan, Santa Barbara consists of two basins, each with a size of 48 meters x 74 meters x 6 meters and a capacity of 41,600 cubic meters. Water from the open reservoir undergoes several stages of purification at the water treatment plant.

Sedimentation basin, Buntalan, Maasin, Iloilo. At the sedimentation basin, natural sedimentation takes place. Raw water from the dam is fed with about one part per million of chlorine for sterilization.

The Chemical Building, also located at the Water Treatment Plant in Talanghauan, Santa Barbara, houses the MIWD Laboratory for water analysis.
MIWD Laboratory. To check on the potability of its water supply, MIWD conducts daily water analysis by getting samples from various sampling points within its service area.
As one of the laboratories in Western Visayas accredited by the Bureau of Health Services and Facilities to conduct physical, chemical and bacteriological analysis, it also accepts water samples for complete water analysis from other private and government agencies and even private individuals.
